Configuring camera settings

You can change camera connection settings or edit or create new metadata (IPTC information or News Metadata) to add to images you will transfer.

  1. Tap [Settings] on the main screen.

  2. Tap [Import/camera settings].

  3. On the screen displayed, tap the [Camera setting] tab.

    1. Edit the IPTC information in the camera or edit the IPTC information acquired from an external device and save (register) it in the smartphone.
    2. Edit the News Metadata in the camera or edit News Metadata acquired from an external device and save (register) it in the smartphone.
    3. Configure this setting when wirelessly connecting the camera to an Android smartphone.
    4. Configure this setting when connecting the camera to an Android smartphone via USB.
    5. Turn this on to apply the date and time of the smartphone to the camera.

    6. When using EOS R1, EOS R5 Mark II, EOS R6 Mark III, EOS R6 V, or EOS C50 (photo mode), read the MAC address of the camera with the following procedure.

      After a QR code with the MAC address is displayed on the camera, tap [Read MAC address] to scan it.
