Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot any issues with the camera or other system components as described below.
A message is displayed when a VR lens is attached
EOS R5 Mark II, EOS R5, EOS R6 Mark III, EOS R6 Mark II, EOS R7, EOS R50 V, EOS R50
- Before recording, be sure to read Initial Precautions and General Precautions.
- Make sure the camera firmware is up to date.
EOS C400, EOS C80, EOS C50 (in movie modes), EOS R5 C (in movie modes)
Left/right images are out of focus
- Check for differences in focus between the left and right lens. If there is a difference in left/right focus, adjust the lens. For adjustment instructions and precautions, refer to the lens instruction manual.
Remote capture is not possible using EOS Utility or Camera Connect
- Make sure there is a card in the camera. A memory card must be in the camera before you can record video.
- With the EOS R5 C, remote shooting in EOS Utility or Camera Connect is not available in movie modes. Consider using Browser Remote to shoot remotely.
- With the EOS C400 or EOS C80, remote shooting in EOS Utility or Camera Connect is not available. Consider using Browser Remote to shoot remotely.
- With the EOS C50, remote shooting in EOS Utility or Camera Connect is not available in movie modes. Consider using a controller or application compatible with the XC protocol to shoot remotely.
