Camera Connection

    Connect the sender camera and receiver camera to the same access point with a wireless or wired connection. One sender camera can be connected to up to 10 receiver cameras. For camera menu operations, see the instruction manual of the camera to be connected.

    Caution

    • If the camera's [Pword. request] option in [Function settings: Manage password] is set to [Off], temporarily set the camera power to Power off before setting it to Power on once again after the network configuration is complete.

Wireless Connection

  1. Display the [Connection settings] screen in the camera's communication function menu and select [Configure online].

  2. Select an item on the [Select communication function] screen.

    • Select [EOS Multi Remote (sender)] for the sender camera.
    • Select [EOS Multi Remote (receiver)] for the receiver camera.
  3. Select [Wi-Fi] for the [LAN type].

  4. Select the network (access point) to connect to on the [Select a network] screen.

  5. Enter the password on the [Password] screen.

  6. Select [Manual setting] on the [IP address setting (IPv4)] screen.

    • Enter the IP address on the displayed screen.
  7. Select [Disable] on the [Use TCP/IPv6] screen.

  8. Select an item on the [User authentic.] screen.

    • Select [Off] for the sender camera.
    • Select [On] to authenticate the user during the registration of the receiver camera. Enter the user name and password on the displayed screen.
  9. Complete the connection settings according to the on-screen display.

Wired Connection

  1. Connect the camera to the access point.

    • Use a commercially available LAN cable.
    • You can also use a hub to add access point terminals.
    • For the EOS R5 Mark II, connect the network terminal of the optional Battery Grip BG-R20EP or Cooling Fan CF-R20EP to the LAN cable.
  2. Display the [Connection settings] screen in the camera's communication function menu and select [Configure online].

  3. Select an item on the [Select communication function] screen.

    • Select [EOS Multi Remote (sender)] for the sender camera.
    • Select [EOS Multi Remote (receiver)] for the receiver camera.
  4. Select [Wired] for the [LAN type].

  5. Select [Manual setting] on the [IP address setting (IPv4)] screen.

    • Enter the IP address on the displayed screen.
  6. Select [Disable] on the [Use TCP/IPv6] screen.

  7. Select an item on the [User authentic.] screen.

    • Select [Off] for the sender camera.
    • Select [On] to authenticate the user during the registration of the receiver camera. Enter the user name and password on the displayed screen.
  8. Complete the connection settings according to the on-screen display.
