Adjusting Sample Images Before Picture Style Editing

Use the [Preliminary adjustment] window as needed to adjust the brightness or white balance of sample images.

  • Adjustments in the [Preliminary adjustment] window are not applied to the Picture Style file you will create.
  • There is no need for adjustment in the [Preliminary adjustment] window if your sample image has suitable exposure and white balance.

  1. Select [Preliminary adjustment] in the [Tools] menu.

  2. Adjust image brightness.

    • Drag the slider left or right, or enter a value.

  3. Adjust the white balance.

    • Select an option in the [White balance adjustment] list.
    • When selecting [Color temperature], drag the slider left or right, or enter a value.
    • Click [Click white balance] to select an image area as the basis of white in the image.
    • Click [Close].
