5-3 Using AF-ON Button Two-Step Press
The two-step AF-ON button can be customized for half-press and full-press operation for a variety of uses
The EOS R1 now features a two-step AF-ON button for the first time. Half-press and full-press functionality can be customized for changing operations so you can maintain AF without moving your finger.
You can also choose from seven presets (setting 1 - 7) for combining functions to both half-press and full-press. This section shows three such examples.
Settings can be configured separately for still and movie shooting.
