Using the Wireless Communication Button as a Shutter Button

You can use the camera's Wireless communication button button as a shutter button when the camera is not connected to the app via Wi-Fi.

To capture a still photo, press the Wireless communication button button briefly, and to start recording a movie, press Wireless communication button for 2 seconds. Press the Wireless communication button button again briefly to end movie recording.

  1. Access the settings screen.

  2. Tap [Basic Camera Set.].

  3. Tap [Shoot with the communication button].

  4. Tap [On].

Caution

  • With auto shooting on, the camera may not always be able to shoot immediately after you press the Wireless communication button button.
  • When recording movies after you press the Wireless communication button button, the camera automatically tracks subjects as set in [Search range] in [Auto Shooting Mode] on the settings screen. Movie recording with the Wireless communication button button is also possible when [Auto shooting] on the home screen is turned off. As the movie is recorded, subjects are automatically tracked as set in [Search range] in [Auto Shooting Mode] on the settings screen.
