Using an Extension Grip

Extension Grip EG-E1 is a dedicated optional accessory that makes the EOS R8 even easier to hold. The battery and card can be inserted or removed while the extension grip is attached to the camera.

Remove the card/battery compartment cover.
- Turn the camera off and remove the cover. Be careful not to lose the cover after removal.
Attach the extension grip.
- Attach as shown and turn the attach/detach dial to lock in place.
Open the extension grip cover.

Caution

When reattaching the card/battery compartment cover to the camera, attach it opened to at least 90°.
