Using Recipes

Details of image adjustments made on tool palettes, collectively called recipes, can be saved as recipe files with a .dr4 file extension. You can also apply recipe files to other images.

By creating a recipe file from one image captured in the same shooting environment as others, you can apply the recipe to the other images.

Caution

  • Recipe files with editing that only applies to RAW images cannot be used for JPEGs or TIFFs.
  • Recipes are not compatible between Digital Photo Professional 4 and earlier versions.
  • In Digital Photo Professional 4, images with recipe files from earlier versions are displayed using the settings at the time of shooting.
  • In earlier versions, images with recipe files from Digital Photo Professional 4 are also displayed using the settings at the time of shooting.
