[Flexible zone AF] or [1-point AF] is recommended for [AF area].
If the subject is moving quickly, you can set [Flexible zone AF] and if it is crowded, you can set [1-point AF] to easily capture the intended subject.
Setting [Vehicles] [Spot detection] to [Enable] makes it easier to capture the rider's helmet. Setting [Whole area tracking Servo AF] to [On] makes framing easier and makes it easier to adjust the composition.
If the AF frame moves to an unintended subject, we recommended switching [Whole area tracking Servo AF] from [On] to [Off] to prevent unintended AF frame movement.
Selecting a slightly wider [AF area] such as [Expand AF area] or [Flexible zone AF] helps keep the subject in the AF area.
When zooming in for a shot of the rider standing as they take a corner, the focus can change suddenly, it may be effective to set [Case Auto characteristics] to [Responsive: +1] is effective.
