6-4 Ball Sports: Rugby
This setting allows you to acquire a specific player from among multiple moving players (rugby).

[Flexible zone AF] or [1-point AF] is recommended for [AF area].
When the distance between the players is close, such as in a crowded game, you can set [1-point AF], and when the players move quickly or change the framing drastically, you can set [Flexible zone AF] to easily capture the intended subject.
Setting [Whole area tracking Servo AF] to [On] makes framing easier and adjust the composition.
If you are shooting a series of quick ball turns, it is recommended that you set the [Case Auto characteristic] of [Servo AF characteristic] to [Responsive: +1], and also set [AF area] to [1-point AF] and [Whole area tracking Servo AF] to [Off]. You can shoot quickly by setting [Servo 1st image priority] to [Release priority].
If the AF frame moves to an unintended subject, you can prevent unintended movement by changing the [Whole area tracking Servo AF] setting from [On] to [Off].
Selecting a slightly wider [AF area] such as [Expand AF area] helps keep the subject in the AF area.
If you need to photograph a specific subject, we recommend using [Register people priority].
