1-2 Whole Area Tracking Servo AF
You can choose from three Servo AF tracking operation options:
・Tracking across the entire screen
・Tracking with limited range
・Locking the AF area without tracking
Three Servo AF settings are available: Tracking across the entire screen, tracking across a limited range, and locking the AF area without tracking. Select the option according to the conditions, such as the subject size or movement, and to prevent the focus from jumping to another subject.

Instructions – Reference
Scenes with multiple players
In sports scenes where there are multiple players, a narrow AF area setting such as 1-point AF is useful for initial focusing to start tracking your desired subject.
When the camera focuses on an unwanted subject in a large AF area setting
Large AF area settings such as Flexible Zone AF sometimes focus on unwanted subjects. In this case, it can be useful to combine this setting with register people priority or action priority.
