Range
The range determines how much of the tones recorded in a movie to display and output. In general, not all tones are used for display on a TV, so the range is limited. (Narrow Range)
Canon Log 2/Canon Log 3 are intended for editing, and are recorded on the card at Full Range, where as anything else is recorded at Narrow Range.
With HDMI output, you can select Full Range and Narrow range for Canon Log 2 / Canon Log 3.
