4-1 Action Priority Overview

This function selects people performing actions unique to soccer (football), basketball, volleyball, and american football, and prioritizes them as the main subject.

Subject detection screen

With this function, the camera recognizes people performing actions unique soccer (football), basketball, volleyball, and american football (shooting, spiking, etc.) and prioritizes selecting them as the main subject.

On previous models it was difficult for 1-point AF or tracking to predict which subject would perform a certain action, but with this function, the camera automatically recognizes the subject performing a specific action and switches the AF frame to them.
Also, when photographing a person engaging in a continuous action such as dribbling or carrying, the camera continues tracking them with greater accuracy than normal tracking as long as there are no other subjects performing the same action.

Also, if you set [Action priority] to [Enable] and [Target sports] to [American Football], the camera optimizes settings to detect subjects wearing American football helmets and shoulder pads.

The following actions are selected as the main subject by the Action Priority.
