Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot any issues with the camera or other system components as described below.

A message is displayed when a VR lens is attached

EOS R5, EOS R6 Mark II, EOS R7, EOS R50

  • Make sure the camera firmware is up to date.

EOS R5 C (in movie modes), EOS C80, or EOS C400

  • Check the menu settings ().

Left/right images are out of focus

  • Check for differences in focus between the left and right lens. If there is a difference in left/right focus, adjust the lens. For adjustment instructions and precautions, refer to the lens instruction manual.

Remote capture is not possible using EOS Utility or Camera Connect

  • Make sure there is a card in the camera. A memory card must be in the camera before you can record video.
  • With the EOS R5 C, remote shooting in EOS Utility or Camera Connect is not available in movie modes. Consider using Browser Remote to shoot remotely.
  • With the EOS C80 or EOS C400, remote shooting in EOS Utility or Camera Connect is not available. Consider using Browser Remote to shoot remotely.
